A buggy is the grab-and-go option: quick to fold, easy to carry and handy once your child can sit up. Refurbished buggies bring this convenience at a lower price, checked by experts and backed by a warranty.
Refurbished means a used item has been checked, cleaned, repaired where needed and sold again with a warranty.
Umbrella folds, one-hand folds and compact folds are all common. Models like the Bugaboo Bee 6 or the Joolz Hub+ are built for the city, while the Chicco TrollyMe focuses on a very small fold.
Check whether the seat lies flat or only partially. Babies who nap on the go benefit from a deeper recline.
Small wheels are great for smooth ground. If your route has kerbs or paths, read the listing for wheel details.
Many buggies suit children from around six months upward. The listing indicates the intended age and weight.
Each listing describes the condition of the item, and every one is checked by experts and covered by the min. 12-month warranty.
A shopping basket, a cup holder, a rain cover and a sun canopy are all useful. Some come with the buggy, others are listed separately, so check what is shown in each listing.
Frequent public transport trips need a light, narrow frame. Park walks and longer outings are more comfortable with a sturdier chassis and a larger canopy.
There are listings from Bebeconfort, Bugaboo, Chicco, Foppapedretti and Inglesina, along with Lionelo, MoMi, Joolz and Peg Perego. Examples include the Inglesina Zenit, the Peg Perego Selfie Plus and several Lionelo models.
The page also lists the Lionelo Tris Plus balance bike, handy when an older child outgrows the buggy and moves on to the next stage. Browsing both together can help you plan the next step for your child.
Buggies cost up to 40% less than new when refurbished. They are also more sustainable vs new, since they stay in use rather than waiting in a cupboard.
Private sales rarely give you a warranty or a tested folding mechanism. Refurbished buggies are checked by experts, include a min. 12-month warranty and can go back within the 30-day free trial.
Check the age range in the listing, as it differs between models.
