Aria Pro II PE-460 Sunburst 1980 Vintage MIJ Electric Guitar

This is an Aria Pro II PE-460 Electric Guitar in Sunburst finish. Made in Japan in 1980, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Mahogany body with Maple top, a three-piece Birch & 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured on this guitar consists of a Supermatic bridge and Aria Pro ll sealed thing machines. The pickups featured are a pair of Protomatic II humbucking pickups, these are wired to a 3-way pickup selector, master volume control, master tone control and a phase reverse switch.

The gloss finish neck sits comfortably in the hand, feeling smooth with a relatively thin profile that provides ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the register. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius making chordal playing, bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The contoured cutaway provides unobstructed access to the upper register.

The pair of Protomatic Il humbuckers provide tones that are thick and full. The Protomatic II in the neck offers boosted mids, big lows and fat highs, and is perfect for rock and metal lead tones. The Protomatic II humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips, whilst the phase switch allows for an extra dose of tonal diversity, opening up a new range of tones for the player.
