Blueridge BR-163 Natural Gloss Acoustic Guitar - Description

This is a Blueridge BR-163 Acoustic Guitar in Natural Gloss finish. Made in China, this guitar consists of a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include vintage-style open-gear tuners, a Rosewood bridge, and hand-carved forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a Slim Profile that sits comfortably in the hand and provides a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck is pleasant to the touch and assists with navigation of the 25.6” scale. The traditional 16” fingerboard radius is as practical as ever, allowing for fingerstyle, chordal or melodic styles of playing.

The acoustic voice of the BR-163 is supremely well-balanced thanks to its 000 Auditorium size. The Sitka Spruce top projects beautifully, and whilst not providing as much volume as a larger body instrument like a dreadnought, delivers plenty of dynamic range without any loss of clarity at higher volumes. The Rosewood back & sides add depth and warmth to the sound which balances beautifully with the brightness of the Sitka Spruce.
