Fender American Standard Stratocaster Shawbucker HSS Black 2016 Modified - Description

This is a modified Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker in Black finish. Made in the USA in 2016, this guitar of course features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel/Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge & Fender Deluxe Staggered/Sealed tuning machines. The original pickguard & pickups are included in the sale, however the guitar has been fitted with a Seymour Duncan Triple Rails loaded pickguard containing 3x Hot Rail pickups. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone & middle tone controls.

The Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear feels smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable surface. The 9.5” radius works in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce a rock solid playing surface which is practical for string bending, vibrato techniques and complex chord voicings alike.

The Seymour Duncan Triple Rails loaded pickguard that has been installed in this guitar deliver thick & full-bodied tones, perfect for the player looking for a bit more grunt from their Stratocaster. There’s plenty of power from each pickup to drive your amp into saturated distortion whilst retaining clarity & articulation. The neck works well for lead sounds & solos, with a nice round bass response. The middle and bridge pickups are progressively brighter, with the bridge delivering a searing output which works beautifully well for rock & metal rhythm parts. The original parts are included in the sale, so you could have two loaded pickguards ready for wherever the gig takes you.
