Gibson Les Paul Standard Lite Double Cutaway Trans Amber 2000 Electric Guitar

This is a Gibson Les Paul Standard Lite Double Cutaway Electric Guitar in Transparent Amber finish. Made in the USA in 2000, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body with Plain Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 24 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Gold hardware consisting of a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a Stopbar tailpiece as well as a set of Grover tuning machines. The pickups featured in this guitar are a Gibson 492R humbucker in the neck position whilst a Gibson 57T humbucker is positioned in the bridge, these are wired to a master volume and tone control along with a 3-way selector switch.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, feeling nicely slim and manageable in the hand. The ‘Fast C’ profile, with a flattened area to the centre which assists with comfortable fretting and enhances the speed of your playing. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, adding a sense of luxury to the playing experience. The traditional 12” radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques, as you would expect from a Les Paul. The dual cut Les Paul body style gives extended access to the upper register.

The Gibson pickups in this guitar offer a full, thick tone, plenty of warmth and roundness is present in the neck position. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The 57T humbucker bridge position provides open sustain and broad harmonic clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear. The simplified Les Paul wiring offers very manageable control and whilst still providing plenty of versatility without any complicated switching, making this instrument great for tonal sculpting to the players desired taste.
