Surface laptops, checked by experts and backed by a warranty

Refurbished Microsoft laptops give you a Surface at up to 40% less than new. Refurbished means a pre-owned device has been tested, cleaned and repaired where needed by experts, then sold with a warranty. Whether you are after a slim Surface Laptop, a compact Laptop Go or a creative Laptop Studio, every listing comes with the same trust points: - Save up to 40% vs new: the same Surface experience for noticeably less. - Min 12-month warranty: cover that a private sale rarely offers. - 30-day free trial: time to try it with your own files and apps. - Free returns and delivery included: no extra costs at the door. - Flexible payment methods: pick what suits you.

Who a refurbished Surface suits

  • Students: a light 13.5” or 12.4” Surface Laptop is easy to carry between lectures and the library.
  • Office and hybrid workers: a reliable Windows laptop for documents, calls and spreadsheets.
  • Creatives: the Laptop Studio line is built for sketching, editing and design work.
  • Families: a shared home laptop for homework, bills and streaming.

How to choose your Surface

Model and generation

Surface Laptop 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are all on the page. Newer generations bring newer processors and longer support, while earlier ones cost less. Laptop Go is the lightest choice for everyday tasks, and Laptop Studio and Studio 2 suit heavier creative work.

Processor and memory

The listing titles name the chip, from Intel Core i5 and i7 to AMD Ryzen 5 and the Snapdragon X Plus in the Surface Laptop 7. Core i5 is plenty for office work and browsing, while i7 and the Studio models give more headroom for editing.

Screen size

Sizes run from 12.4” for portability to 13.5”, 13.8” and 15” for more working space. The Studio models have a 14.4” screen.

Condition

Each listing shows one of four grades: - Premium: looks identical to new, works like new, and the battery holds at least 90% of the capacity of a new battery. - Excellent: looks like new and works like new. - Very Good: slight signs of wear, works like new. - Good: some signs of wear, works like new.

For Excellent, Very Good and Good, the battery holds at least 80% of the capacity of a new battery. Some products can be bought with a new battery.

Storage

Check the storage in the listing. More space helps if you keep large photo, video or design files on the device.

Refurbished vs new

A refurbished Surface can save you up to 40% vs new, with a warranty and a 30-day free trial included. It is also more sustainable vs new. According to refurbed’s calculation, a refurbished laptop saves on average 85% of CO₂ emissions per device compared with a new one, about 357 kg, and cuts electronic waste by 89%. refurbed’s calculation is verified by an independent third party, GutCert, in accordance with ISO 14040/44.

Refurbished vs second hand

A second hand laptop from a private seller usually has no warranty, no expert testing and no information on battery health. With refurbed, every device is refurbished by experts, graded for condition and covered by a min 12-month warranty.
